This engineering discipline is concerned with the study of the principle and operation of measuring instruments that are required in fields of design, pneumatic domains, configuration of automated systems in electrical, etc. An Instrumentation and Control Engineer will be responsible for enhancing the productivity, stability, reliability, optimisation and safety of instruments for any organisation.

Selection Process:

Eligibility: It is important for you to score at least 60% marks in class 12 in order to be eligible for the top colleges offering this course. Other colleges also accept students with 50% marks in class 12 with science.

Entrance Exam: Like other engineering disciplines, admission to Instrumentation and Control Engineering is also done on the basis of entrance exams mentioned above. Admission to central government colleges will be done on the basis of either JEE Main or JEE Advanced .

Whereas, state-based colleges will take students on the basis of state-level entrance exams like MHT CET , WBJEE , KCET , etc. Private and Deemed Universities conduct their own engineering entrance exams for admissions like VITEE , BITSAT , etc.

Dear Student, 

If you mistakenly uploaded a wrong document (like a voter ID with the incorrect birth date) during the JEE Main application correction window and now need to upload the correct document showing your accurate date of birth, you should immediately log in to your JEE Main candidate portal using your application number and password during the open correction period. Go to the ‘Application Form Correction’ section where you initially uploaded the documents. There, you can delete or replace the previously uploaded document with the correct one by following the on-screen instructions to re-upload the accurate birth date proof. …
