Best Career Options after MSc Computer Science - MSc Computer Science is one of the most favourable courses that a student can opt after BSc Computer Science . While most of the students get confused between the career prospects after BTech in Computer Science and BSc in Computer Science , the same confusion pertains with MSc in Computer Science (CS) vs MTech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) . Example 1: After completing MSc Computer Science, you can apply for various government recruitment exams like UPSC or state civil services examination. You can choose the subject that is relevant to your qualification in the entrance test. However, you will need at least one year of rigorous preparation to clear these exams. Also, you can apply for exams conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). For these exams, you can either prepare while pursuing MSc or prepare for them after graduation. As the government job is a life-time settlement, a rigorous preparation will give you benefit.

Example 2: After passing MSc Computer Science, you can look for private jobs in Software or IT companies. In most cases, the college in which you studied offer campus placements. There are various private job options available for these graduates. However, the initial payment/ salary may be less and once you start gaining the work experience, you can demand more pay.

Example 3: If you are aiming to become a professor or lecturer, you will have to clear UGC NET, which will give you eligibility to become an Assitant professor in universities or colleges. While working as an Assistant Professor, you can take up PhD. in the field of Computer Science for higher positions like Professor, Head of the Department etc.
