CLAT 2026 cutoff lists will be released in 5 rounds one after the other. The candidates who are appearing for CLAT 2026 exam for the first time this year should know that the Consortium of the NLUs will release the five rounds of the cutoff list keeping one and half month gap so that candidates have enough time to take admission after they have been allotted seats. The CLAT cutoff list will only be released once the CLAT result has been published. The CLAT Consortium used to release three rounds of cutoffs until 2020, after which it started releasing five rounds of cutoff lists from 2021 for all the National Law Universities (NLUs) including the opening and closing ranks.
Aspirants can expect slightly lower cutoff ranks for some NLUs compared to Round 1 and 2, especially for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Domicile, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). However, the cutoffs for top institutions like NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata may witness minor changes, as very few seats typically remain by this stage. As the overall number of applicants remains high, even a small difference in rank may determine admission to a particular NLU.

Factors Determining CLAT 2024 Cutoff
Candidates will be offered admissions into the colleges/universities accepting CLAT scores/ranks according to the cutoff. After the release of the CLAT 2024 result, candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam must check the CLAT 2024 cut-off which is based on different parameters. The factors that shall determine CLAT cut-off have been given below:

CLAT cutoff is important to determine the students eligible for top colleges. With top ranks, law aspirants can get into top colleges while with a low rank, they can either get into NLUs that admit students with low scores or can take admission to other colleges offering the course.
