About Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is a four-year BTech program designed to provide students with a basic understanding and knowledge of how heavy tools and machines work. Students enrolled in a mechanical engineering program gain knowledge in the design of automobiles, electric motors, airplanes, and other heavy vehicles. Mechanical engineers design everything from new batteries, and sports equipment to medical equipment, personal computers, air conditioners, car engines to power plants. These engineers are also designing the machines that produce these innovations.

The scope of mechanical engineering in India and abroad is vast as every aspect of our lives touches on it in one way or another. Across multiple industries, the career opportunities for students pursuing the program are tremendous.

Mechanical Engineering is offered in various engineering schools in India at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels where students pursue their BTech and Her MTech degrees respectively.

The exam typically includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and fill-in-the-blank (FIB) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English, all based on the Class 12 syllabus. There is no negative marking, and the exam duration is usually 150 minutes. To prepare well, students should focus on core concepts, practice previous papers, and improve speed and accuracy. The moderate difficulty level …
