The student can follow the following steps to fast-track JEE Main 2026 registration with Digilocker:

Step 1: Set up the Digilocker

The student must visit digilocker.gov.in and sign up using their Aadhar Number and verify & set a security PIN. The student must keep the educational certificate details and identity cards linked in Digilocker for auto-access by NTA.

Step 2: Retrieve Educational Documents

In the Digilocker section, visit the' Issued Documents’, ‘Education’, ‘CBSE/ICSE’. Retrieve the class 10th/12th marksheet, Aadhar card.  This process will digitally verify the personal identification card & save the student from manually uploading the copies during the JEE Main 2026 registration.

Step 3: Visit JEE Main 2026 Registration Portal

The student must visit the NTA’s official website i.e, jeemain.nta.ac.in. After visiting, click on ‘Register/Login with Digilocker’ and choose the ‘Digilocker’ option while prompted.

Step 4: Login Using Digilocker Details

In this step, a pop-up window will appear, which will require the student to provide the Digilocker login details. Upon asking, enter the mobile number/Aadhar-linked ID and security PIN. The NTA will authorize the provided details (such as Aadhar number, student’s name, DoB, school etc).

Step 5: Complete the Registration Process

If any details have not been fetched by NTA, fill them out (such as exam centre, city preference, etc). Then, upload the documents if it has not been auto-filled from the Digilocker. After filling in the details, make the application fee payment online.

Step 6: Download the Confirmation Page

Once the payment for the JEE Main 2026 registration is done, the student must download the confirmation page, consisting of the application number, payment details, and personal details, which can be used in case of discrepancy.
