How will KLUEEE 2026 merit list be prepared

Applying for KL University through KLUEEE 2026? Understanding the criteria for their merit list can be helpful to know exactly where you stand. The merit list is the final decider of who gets admission and in what order. KL University publishes this list after the exam results are out, and it includes the names of all candidates who are declared qualified, along with their ranks. I will explain to you how it is actually prepared.

How is KLUEEE 2026 merit list prepared?

Check below to know how the KLUEEE merit list is prepared and some other factors you need to consider while checking the merit list:

1. It is based on your total score: The merit list ranking will depend on your total marks scored in the KLUEEE exam. The exam consists of 75 multiple-choice questions, with +1 for each correct answer. The biggest advantage is that answers marked wrong do not fetch any negative marking. The total duration of the examination is 3 hours, and higher marks will get better ranks in the merit list.

2. It follows a ranking process: The KL University arranges all students' scores from highest to lowest once all students have finished their exam. In this case, the highest marks are awarded Rank 1, the second highest Rank 2, and so forth. It is this rank that appears on the scorecard when the results are declared.

3. In case two students get the same marks: This situation is referred to as a tie-breaker. If two or more students get equal marks in the university, the criteria to determine the ranks among them depend on some specific subjects. Generally, it starts with Mathematics, then further assesses Physics, and finally Chemistry. If you scored better in these subjects compared to someone with the same total marks, you'll get a better rank.

4. Multiple Phase Results: KL University conducts KLUEEE in different phases, releasing merit lists for every phase. This means that if you appeared for Phase 1, the rank credited to you will definitely be according to the Phase 1 merit list. Candidates who score above the cut-off marks in any of the phases will be counseled and admitted.

5. Additional Consideration: In addition to the KLUEEE scores, KL University also accepts JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions. This means that you have more chances at being admitted. The university also prepares its own separate merit list for each entrance examination it accepts.

Your KLUEEE 2026 rank depends on how many marks you get out of 75. The more marks, the better the rank, and the better rank, means more choices in admissions. So just focus on your preparation for the exam, and since there is no negative marking, attempt all the questions confidently!

Dear Student,

LPUNEST B.Tech exam difficulty is generally moderate, striking a balance between easy and challenging questions.
