Total Government Nursing Colleges in Chhattisgarh

As per the Indian Nursing Council, there are 110 Nursing colleges in 2024-25. Out of these, 13 are government colleges, and the rest are private. The total number of Nursing colleges is increasing every year. In 2023-24, 80 colleges offered BSc Nursing courses in Chhattisgarh. In 2024-25, 91 colleges have offered this course. For the GNM course, 32 colleges had it in 2023-24, and 33 colleges are offering it in 2024-25.

In 2023-24, 8 government colleges offered B.Sc. Nursing courses. The number remained the same the next year. For GNM, 3 government colleges offered it in 2023-24. In 2024–25, 5 government colleges are offering GNM. This shows a small but steady rise in government colleges providing the GNM Nursing course .

The Chhattisgarh government conducts the CG B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Exam 2025 every year through CG Vyapam. In 2025, the exam was conducted on May 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM. It was a computer-based test, and the questions were from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Students can also take the CG PB BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2025 for Post Basic BSc Nursing admission in Chhattisgarh. For MSc Nursing CG M.Sc Nursing entrance exam is annually conducted by CG Vyapam.

After the results are out, qualifying students can register for the online counselling process. Counselling happens in multiple rounds, and students get seats based on their rank and choice. If any seats remain, a mop-up round is held to fill those seats.

The number of government Nursing colleges in Chhattisgarh is increasing slowly every year. This growth gives students more choices for their Nursing education.
