ICAR UG Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2025 Upgradation Guidelines

After the first round of seat allotment for ICAR UG 2025, some students may receive their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or lower preference, while other seats may become vacant due to non-reporting or ineligibility. Students who have been allotted a seat can request upgradation to a higher choice in the next round, but only to the better options they selected during online choice filling.

  • To choose the option of upgradation, the student must have deposited the Seat Acceptance Fee for the initially allotted seat.

  • Students who request upgradation can track their status through the University Login, which will display the complete progress (In/Out) of the upgradation process.

  • If a better choice is not available, the student will retain their initially allotted seat. If the student receives an upgraded seat, the original seat will be forfeited, and the student must accept the upgraded seat. No student can keep both the original and upgraded seats, so careful consideration is required before opting for upgradation.

  • In the university reporting module, all upgraded students will be automatically marked as “Admitted”. The university cannot change its status to Not Reported/Not Eligible. However, if the student fails to report on the specified date at the upgraded university, their admission will be cancelled, and any ICAR Fellowship or Scholarship claims may be forfeited.

  • After the upgradation, students should contact the concerned university in advance to confirm the registration date and check for any additional document requirements. The responsibility to submit all required documents lies with the student. If any document is missing at the time of class commencement, admission may be denied by the university or ICAR.

  • Upgradation requests are allowed only during the first, second, and third rounds of counselling. The fourth round and mop-up round (if needed) are only for students who did not receive a seat in previous rounds, using the same original choices.

  • If a student is upgraded in the second or third round but still has a chance for a better option, they can again request upgradation in the subsequent round. All requests will be processed to give students their higher preference before moving to the next counselling round.

  • Each round of ICAR online counselling will start immediately after the completion of reporting for the previous round. The upgradation process will continue until all rounds of counselling are completed, ensuring students get the best possible seat from their original choice list.

What After ICAR UG Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2025?

  • You must download the provisional admission letter from the official ICAR counselling website using your login details.

  • Upload all required documents for verification by the university you have been allotted. Participate in the online document verification process and respond to any questions or issues raised by the allotted institute during this step.

    • Freeze - accept the allotted seat and end participation in further counselling rounds.

    • Slide - accept the allotted college but choose a different course.

    • Float - keep the allotted seat but participate in the next rounds for better options.

  • If you are satisfied with your seat, you need to complete all admission formalities at your allotted college on time. If not, or if you want a better option, get ready for the next ICAR counselling rounds, including mop-up rounds, which are conducted to fill vacant seats.

Dear Student,

LPUNEST B.Tech exam difficulty is generally moderate, striking a balance between easy and challenging questions. Over recent years, the exam has shifted from mostly memory-based questions to more concept- and application-oriented ones, aiming to assess candidates' understanding and problem-solving abilities. The exam typically includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and fill-in-the-blank (FIB) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English, all based on the Class 12 syllabus. There is no negative marking, and the exam duration is usually 150 minutes. To prepare well, students should focus on core concepts, practice previous papers, and improve speed and accuracy.
