JEE Main 2020 exam that was conducted in the morning session of January 07 and 08, 2020, had a lot of variation in terms of the difficulty level.

JEE Main January 2020 that was held in the morning shift (shift 1) of January 07 and January 08, 2020, witnessed a lot of variation in terms of the difficulty level of question paper, sectional wise difficulty level and subject wise weightage for 11 th syllabus. According to the response received from expects, the Shift 1 exam on January 07 is relatively easier than the Shift 1 exam that was conducted on January 08, 2020. The candidates can check the detailed comparison of both shifts so that you will have an idea of important topics that featured in the entrance exam. Candidates appearing for exam on January 09 can expect mixed question paper, i.e., moderate to difficult paper.

The Chemistry section of this shift has questions from Quantum Numbers, Chemical Bonds, Dipoles, Orbitals

The Chemistry section of this shift has questions from organic chemistry, d-block, coordination compounds, environmental chemistry, inorganic chemistry.

The Mathematics section was difficult

The Chemistry section had theory-based questions

The Mathematics section in this shift had formula-based questions

Mathematics witnessed more questions from 11 th syllabus

The NAT based questions were confusing

The NAT based questions were simple

The overall difficulty level of the question paper was easy to moderate

The overall difficulty level of the question paper was moderate to easy

If you observe the analysis above, it is quite evident that there is a drastic change between the two shifts. January 08 th Shift 1 exam was almost surprising to students due to the difficulty level. As NTA follows the normalization process, candidates of all the shifts will have an advantage in the rank list.
