Changes Introduced in Maharashtra ANM/ GNM Admissions 2026
The following changes have been made to Maharashtra ANM/ GNM admissions in the year 2026:
The MH-Nursing CET has been made a mandatory entrance exam for admission to GNM courses in both Government and Private nursing colleges for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 cycles.
The seat allotment will entirely depend on your CET Percentile. Your 12th marks will merely act as an eligibility cutoff and you must have obtained a minimum of 40-45% aggregate marks to appear for the CET exam. The direct 12th Merit Admission process, in which the GNM seats were filled based on the aggregate percentage of the HSC (12th) exam, has now been discontinued.
You must follow the B.Sc. Nursing syllabus for GNM admissions. There are five sections: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Nursing Aptitude. Each section carries 20 marks.
The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will be followed for GNM admissions.
If you are from the Arts/Commerce background, the Maharashtra CET Cell has now mandated that you must clear your fundamentals of PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) to clear the exam.
APAAR ID Integration has been made mandatory for the the 2026 registration.
