Around 50 percent of India's population is below the age of 25 and 60 percent of the nation's gamers are under 25 years of age. As per KPMG's media and entertainment report, the gaming user base surpassed 365 million in March and India has over 560 million internet users. It is the second-largest internet consumer. • One of the other factors that have contributed to the growth in Animation and Gaming courses in India is the growth in the adoption of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies.

• The surge in gaming has also come from virtual entertainment with friends, family, and peer groups, coupled with the rise in influencers encouraging Indians to play more games. With digital consumption becoming mainstream in India the demand for such content has also increased.

• An increase in the gaming platform options, such as mobile, console, and PC is attracting gamers to play a different genres of games such as strategy, casual, action, sports, and entertainment among others.

• The current scenario has made India the centre of outsourcing networks for outsourcing work such as game development, and game support services. This has led to the rise in gaming and animation courses.

Employment opportunities have also increased for quality animators and gamers. With the rapid growth in the entertainment, multimedia, and animation sector there has been a huge demand for game developers , multimedia developers, character designers, keyframe animators , 3D modellers.
