Aspirants who do not participate in or accept the WBJEE round 1 seat allotment will be able to participate in the second round of counselling. Additionally, if you wish to upgrade your round 1 allotment, you can participate in the round 2 WBJEE counselling 2025.

Who is Eligible for WBJEE Round 2 Counselling?

Who is Eligible for WBJEE 2025 Round 2 Counselling: The round 2 WBJEE counselling will be held for students who have participated in the round 1 counselling and either want to upgrade their allotment or haven't received an allotment in the round 1. Only if you have cleared the WBJEE 2025 exam will you be eligible to appear for the counselling process of WBJEE 2025. In addition, there is an eligibility criterion for the WBJEE 2025 round 2 counselling also. If you have not been allotted seats in round 1 or did not accept the allotment, you can take part in the second round of WBJEE counselling 2025. Students also must take note that they have to register only for round 1 of counselling, i.e., the allotment round, and the last round of WBJEE counselling, i.e., the mop-up round. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will conduct the WBJEE 2025 counselling from August 28 to September 11, 2025.
If you receive a seat allotment in the second round must complete the payment of the seat acceptance fee, report to your allotted college for document verification, and complete any necessary withdrawal procedures before the due dates. Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2025 Round 2 Counselling

The following types of Applicants are eligible to participate in the WBJEE round 2 counselling:

Eligibility Rule 1

Applicants who did not get a seat in Round 1

Eligibility Rule 2

Applicants who paid the seat acceptance fee, completed the document verification and opted for ‘Upgradation of Seat’

Eligibility Rule 3

Applicants whose seat allotment has been cancelled in Round 1 due to the non-acceptance of category certificate

Note: Applicants participating in the Round 2 counselling of WBJEE 2025 must note that this will be the final round, and there will be no option for the upgradation of seats.

Important Points to Note about WBJEE 2025 Round 2 Counselling

Here are some of the important points that you must note if you are participating in Round 2 counselling –

  • As there is no upgradation option after Round 2 seat allotment, you will either have to accept the seat and complete the admission formalities or withdraw from counselling and take part in the mop-up round.
  • If you opted for upgradation in Round 1, you must note that the seat allocated in Round 1 shall be cancelled, and the same is not available for retaining.
  • It is important to pay the seat acceptance fee if any fresh applicant is allocated a seat for the first time in Round 2.

WBJEE 2025 Round 2 Seat Allotment Process/ Rules

As Round 2 seat allotment is applicable for applicants who opted for upgradation and not allocated a seat in Round 1, the following outcomes can be expected after the seat allotment in Round 2 –

Upgradation of Seat Allotment as per 1 st Choice

  • Applicants whose allotment is upgraded as per the first choice can report to the institute and complete the admission formalities
  • After the reporting process, the applicants need to obtain a signed copy of the Physical Reporting Receipt
  • If the applicants are not satisfied with the seat allotment, he/she can complete the reporting process and take part in the Mop-Up round

Allotment Not Upgraded as Per First Choice

  • Applicants whose allotment is not upgraded as per the first choice or who did not see any change in upgradation can also complete the admission formalities if he/ she is satisfied with the allotment
  • If the applicants are not satisfied with the seat allotment, he/ she can refrain from the reporting process and withdraw the seat allotment to take part in the Mop-Up round
  • The applicants need not join the allocated institute and pay the fee if he/she want to take part in the Mop-Up round

Seat Allotment in Round 2 for Fresh Applicants

  • If the applicants who did not get a seat in Round 1 are allocated a seat in Round 2, he/she will have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 5,000
  • Such applicants will have to complete the document verification process as well
  • Applicants who are not satisfied with the seat allotment can take part in the Mop-Up round

List of Documents Needed for WBJEE 2025 Counselling

You must ensure that you have the following documents at the time of the Round 2 WBJEE counselling process:
  • 10th admit card/birth certificate for verifying the date of birth
  • 10th and 12th Marks
  • Domicile certificate
  • Category certificate for the reserved category applicants
  • PwD Rank holder card
  • Income certificate to the TFW rank holders
