TS POLYCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

TS POLYCET 2026 eligibility criteria are set by the State Board of Technical Education. The POLYCET eligibility states the requirements that you need to satisfy in order to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria cover various aspects such as the age limit, domicile, nationality, educational qualification, minimum marks in the qualifying examination, etc. Before you proceed with TS POLYCET 2026 registration, you must ensure to go through the eligibility criteria. You will have to satisfy the eligibility conditions to sit for the TS POLYCET 2026 exam. The eligibility criteria for the TS POLYCET exam states that in order to be eligible, you must have passed or at least be appearing for the SSC/equivalent examination. You also must possess a domicile of the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh to be considered eligible. There is no restriction on age for applying for the exam. General Eligibility Criteria for TS POLYCET 2026

• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen holding Indian citizenship.

• Age Limit: You must be at least 15 years of age to be able to appear in the TS POLYCET 026 exam. However, there is no upper age limit specified by the conducting authority. 

• Domicile: You will only be able to apply for the TS POLYCET exam if you belong to the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh.

• Educational Qualifications: You must have appeared/ qualified in the SSC exam (or equivalent exam) conducted by the Telangana State Board to apply for the exam.

• Subject Combination: You must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in the 10+2 level to sit for TS POLYCET 026.

*Note: If you have passed your Secondary level examination from different Boards like Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), AP Open School Society and other examination recognized the Telangana Government, then you are also eligible to appear in the entrance exam.

• The minimum qualifying marks required to be eligible for the exam is 35%. It is to be noted that you must have secured a minimum of 35% in each subject.

TS POLYCET 2026 Reservation Criteria

Apart from this, there are certain other categories that are offered with reserved seats as per the TS POLYCET eligibility criteria 2026. These categories include the following: -

• There are two seats reserved for those belonging to the Anglo-India community

• 1% reservation is offered to those who are a part of the National Cadet Corps.

• Apart from this, 33.3 % of total seats in all non-minority co-educational institutes are reserved for girls.
