Ambedkar Open University Andhra Pradesh to Open Admissions Soon; UGC approval for courses soon

Ambedkar Open University, Andhra Pradesh, is set to begin admissions for a diverse array of courses, with an anticipated enrollment of around 40,000 students. This initiative aims to encourage individuals from remote rural areas to pursue higher education through the flexible option of distance learning.

Ambedkar Open University Andhra Pradesh to Open Admissions Soon: Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, Andhra Pradesh, is on its way to roll out the admission process for its first batch. Going by what Prof S Vijaya Bhaskar Rao - the Vice Chancellor, said, the university is currently anticipating the approval from the UGC, and the admissions will start once the varsity receives the approval.

Reiterating the words of Prof Vijaya Bhaskar in a meeting conducted on Tuesday with the officials and staff, such as deputy director Ajanta Kumar, and several other officials at APSCHE, the university’s establishment in Andhra Pradesh officially began this year. Mentioning the efforts put in by the university towards development, he noted that details of the teaching faculty & staff from 76 open universities across the state have been collected. As of now, the authorities are busy digitising the already collected details so as to get them as part of a comprehensive computerisation initiative. Moving further, he also spoke about the anticipated enrollment of about 40,000 students across several courses. In addition, he asked the officers and staff to offer their full cooperation. The process to introduce a number of new industry-relevant courses to assist students with better employment opportunities is currently in the pipeline, along with the required UGC approvals to be sought soon.

Underlining the significant influence of BRAOU on thousands, he mentioned that the university will encourage those residing in remote rural areas to pursue higher education via distance learning. He also mentioned the far-sightedness of the university through its commitment to expand its services in Andhra Pradesh and offering various other quality courses in the years to come. Moving further, Prof said that the measures have already been taken to address all these issues.

He further extended his gratitude to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Mr Nara Lokesh for their support in enhancing and advancing the university.
