This year’s examination was conducted in CBT mode on December 18 across various centers in India, with a total of 2,12,552 candidates appearing for the test. The CSIR NET response sheet was made available on December 30, allowing candidates to review their answers and submit objections, if any, up to 11 PM on January 1, 2026.
To challenge a question, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question through Credit, Debit Cards, Net Banking, or UPI. Objections submitted without payment of the processing fee will not be considered, and no challenges will be accepted through any other mode. Based on trends from previous years, the objections will be examined by subject experts, after which the final answer key and results are likely to be released within 45 to 60 working days from the closure of the objection window.
