What's Next After the FMGE Result December 2025?
After the result of the FMGE Dec 2025 is declared, candidates who have cleared the FMGE exam have to fulfill some necessary formalities to start their medical practice in India. It is a requirement for foreign medical graduates to clear the FMGE exam to get provisional or permanent registration.
The first step is to download the scorecard from the official website of NBEMS as soon as it is released. The next step is for the candidates to apply for Provisional Registration from the concerned State Medical Council (SMC) or directly from the National Medical Commission (NMC), as per the new guidelines. This is a necessary step to begin the mandatory rotatory internship.
After acquiring the provisional registration, candidates have to undergo a one-year mandatory internship in an NMC-recognised medical college/hospital in India. Only after the successful completion of the internship can the candidates apply for Permanent Registration, which will enable them to practice medicine in the country.
