Maharashtra HSC Physics 2026: Important 4 Mark Questions

Here is the list of 4-marked important questions for the Maharashtra HSC Physics 2026 exam.

  1. Using a phasor diagram for a series LCR circuit, obtain an expression for impedance. Define admittance.
  2. Define a logic gate and explain why the NOT gate is called an inverter. The transistor is in the common emitter configuration. Its DC current gain is 50. If the collector current is 3mA, calculate the base current.
  3. Define an isothermal process. Obtain an expression for the work done during an isothermal process. Draw P–V diagram.
  4. Explain the concept of positive and negative work with varying pressure. Draw corresponding p-V diagrams.
  5. What is the photoelectric effect? Describe with a neat circuit diagram an experimental setup of the photoelectric effect.
  6. What is a transformer? Explain the construction and working of a transformer. Derive the equation for a transformer.
  7. Derive an expression for the energy stored in a charged capacitor. A spherical metal ball of radius 15 cm carries a charge of 2µC. Calculate the electric field at a distance of 20 cm from the center of the sphere.
  8. What is Ferromagnetism? Explain it on the basis of domain theory.
  9. State Einstein’s photoelectric equation and mention the physical significance of each term involved in it. The wavelength of incident light is 4000Å. Calculate the energy of the incident photon.
