Selection and Counselling Process for M.Tech Course at PDPU

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University conducts entrance test for the admission to M.Tech course. The candidates can check the detailed selection and counseling process here.

Selection Process: -

• The university reserves first preference to GATE qualified candidates.
• These candidates are exempted from taking Written Eligibility test.
• Others have to take Written Eligibility Test (WAT).
• The varsity prepares a separate merit list for GATE qualified candidates and WAT qualified candidates.
• The candidates who have qualified WAT have to attend personal interview.
• There may at least five to six merit lists for GATE qualified candidates.

Counselling Process: -

• The candidates whose names have been shortlisted as per GATE merit list and WAT & PI merit list have to attend the counseling process.
• If the candidates do not attend the counseling, his/her admission will be cancelled.
• The candidates need to carry all the required documents for the counseling.
• The candidates also have the choice to cancel the admission voluntarily.
• A separate cancellation form must be filled and submitted.
