Selection & Counselling Process for PU CET M.E/M.Tech Course

Panjab University conducts Common Entrance Test every year for the admission to various courses. However, the admission process for M.E/M.Tech courses are different. The details about selection and counselling process are given below.

Selection Process: -

• The preference will be given to the candidates who have qualified GATE examination.
• The candidates who did not appear for GATE need to take an entrance examination conducted by PU.
• However, the seat will be allotted to those candidates who have qualified PU CET only after completing admission process for GATE candidates.

Counselling Process: -

• Usually, the counselling process starts after the declaration of the result.
• Panjab University holds admission process for GATE candidates initially.
• The counselling process includes verification of certificates.
• After completing the admission process for GATE candidates, PU CET candidates will be called for counselling.
