The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted Day 1 of the SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) and Havaldar 2026 examination on
February 4, 2026
in four shifts. As per initial student feedback,
Day 1 Shift 3 GS was comprised of mostly Current Affairs questions only
and was
Moderate to Tough
. Questions from Political Word, Index, and Sports (1 question about Youth) were asked. 2 questions were asked about Budget 2026. Current affairs were asked from 2024-2025. Maths was Moderate, 3-4 questions were very calculative.
Reasoning was Easy and was doable in less time. and questions from Coding Decoding, Number system, Sitting Arrangement, and Chinese Coding were asked.
SSC MTS February 4 Shift 2 paper was rated Easy to Moderate overall. GK/GS was Moderate, and students found it be difficultlt section. Candidates indicated that most questions were direct and doable. 2 questions were asked from Dance, while Current Affairs had 4-5 questions. From mirror image, 3-4 questions were asked. Reasoning was Easier and doable. From Awards, Olympics, and Music, 1-2 question was asked. 1 Direct Article based question was asked. The formula of Methane was asked. Question from Constitution 157 was asked.

Day 1 Shift 1 was overall Easy to Moderate level. Mostly, the questions were asked in GK from Current Affairs (2025) and were difficult. English was Easy mostly Direct and Indirect Speech, active and passive, prepositions, and 1 paragraph from Vocablary was asked, Fom Narration (4-5 questions were asked).
