Tamil Nadu School Holiday Update 22 October 2025: Heavy rains have been lashing Tamil Nadu for the past 2 days, and the rain conditions intensified from October 21 onwards. IMD has already flagged a few districts as 'Red Alert' districts due to the heavy rain. Heavy rains have been occurring in Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Trichy, Kancheepuram, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Thiruvalur, Thanjavur etc. As there is a chance of heavy rain on October 22, the school holiday has been announced by the District Collectors of various districts.
