The computer-based UGC NET December 2025–2026 test covered 85 courses and was administered from December 31 to January 7, 2026. Candidates had until January 17 to raise complaints about the provisional answer keys, which were made public on January 14. NTA will release the final solution key and results once all challenges have been reviewed. Candidates can download their scorecards from the UGC NET page immediately after the results are announced. The official UGC NET December 2025 cutoffs will also be released with the results.

Typically, the JRF award letter or e-certificate is sent out in one to two months. While candidates who qualify for Assistant Professor positions may apply for teaching positions, JRF candidates must enrol in a PhD program within three years in order to receive the fellowship. For a year, candidates who have been designated as "Qualified for PhD only" may use their NET score for PhD admissions, where it typically makes up 70% of the selection weight.

- The cutoff scores for each topic and category (such as UR, OBC, SC, and ST) will be displayed in a PDF that opens. Save or download it for later use.
- To find your topic code or name in the PDF, use CTRL+F or the search tool.
- To determine whether you have qualified, compare your final score (out of 300) with the cut-off score specified for your category.

- Enter your Date of Birth (DOB) and Application Number accurately.
- Enter the CAPTCHA or security pin that is shown on the screen.
- Click Login or Submit to see your outcome.
- Marks, percentiles, and qualifying status will be displayed on the screen along with the UGC NET December 2025 scorecard or result.
- Get the scorecard/result PDF and print it out for later use.
