UPSC Stenographer Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently released the UPSC Steno recruitment advertisement 2022 on its official website. The Stenographer Grade B Posts will be filled by the commission with the UPSC Grade B Stenographer Exam to be conducted on 11th March 2023 in CBT mode. UPSC Grade B/Grade 1 Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2022

The applicants must fulfil the eligibility criteria for UPSC Stenographer and Section Officer Grade B/Grade 1 eligibility criteria. Following are the eligibility conditions for Stenographer grade B for each category -

Category 1	Section Officer (SO) - Central Secretariat Services	Completed Graduation in Any Discipline AND 5 Years of working experience OR 4 years of annual appraisals in Assistant Grade in Central Secretariat Services
Category 2	Section Officers’ (SO) Integrated Grade 2nd & 3rd) General Cadre of the Indian Foreign Service	Must have at least 5 years of experience in Grade 4 (General Cadre) OR Grade 2 Stenographer OR Grade 2 Cypher Cadre in Indian Foreign Service
Category 3	Section Officers’ (SO) - Railway Board Secretariat Service	At least 5 years of experience in Assistant Grade of railway Board Secretariat Service OR Grade 2/Grade C in Stenographer Grade
Category 4	Private Secretary Grade in the Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service	Completed graduation from a recognised university AND At least three 3 years of experience in Personal Assistant Grade of Central Secretariat Steno Service
Category 5	Grade I of the Stenographers’ Cadre in Indian Foreign Service,	At Least 5 years of experience as Grade 2 Stenographer - Indian Foreign Service Branch B
Category 6	Stenographers’ Service - Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ Merged - Armed Forces Headquarters	At least 3 years of experience as Grade 2/Grade C Stenographer in Indian Armed Forces Headquarters
Category 7	Grade ‘B’ Stenographer - Railway Board Secretariat	At Least 5 years of experience at Grade 2/C in RBSS
Category 8	Section Officers’ - Intelligence Bureau.	Currently serving for at least 4 years as Assistant/Personal Assistant (Stenographer Grade 2) in IB
Category 9	Private Secretary Grade in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation	At least 3 years of experience in PA in ESIC
