Annamalai University Tamil Nadu, established in 1929, was set up as per Annamalai University Act 1928 (Tamil Nadu Act 1 of 1929). Annamalai University fees vary with the course type and the course duration. The institution has been ranked in the 101-150 band as per “NIRF Ranking-2021” Ministry of Education. The UG courses offered are for arts, science, commerce and professional fields. The selection is based on 10+2 ,merit basis and counseling sessions.
The university offers M.Sc, PGDLAN,PGDCA, LLM, MCA, and PG Diploma programmes. The selection in Annamalai University DDE PG courses are based on merit of marks obtained in graduation and on counseling sessions.
Annamalai University placement cells are separate for the university and DDE. The NIRF Ranking 2022 report revealed the median package offered to UG students was Rs 10.14 LPA and to the UG students was Rs 9.72 LPA. Annamalai University B.Tech and M.Tech have separate placement cells.
Annamalai University center for alumni relations was formed in August, 2017, with a view to remain connected with the old students of the university. The basic objective of creating the center was to involve the alumni members in various activities of the university for its smooth functioning.
