On September 13, 2023, BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero Group venture, announced the appointment of Prof. Shyam Menon as Vice Chancellor. Prof. Menon is a well-known practitioner of higher education institutional growth and renewal. He is a well-known educator with over 40 years of experience as a teacher educator, educational administrator, and university administrator. Prior to joining BMU, he spent over three decades as a Professor at the University of Delhi, where he was also Dean of the Faculty of Education.
Prof. Menon has served on the editorial boards of numerous prestigious international journals, including the Comparative Education Journal and the Asia Pacific Journal of Education. He formerly served as the Chairman of the Commission for Reforms in Higher Education established by the Government of Kerala.

BML Munjal University Have announced that a 2-Day Virtual Leadership Summit would be conducted from 17th to 18th February. The Leadership Summit, which will turn 2 this year, will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders and policymakers to discuss the issue of "Global Sustainability and the Corporation" and how organizations may move toward more sustainability in general. The current perilous hs compelled the sector to mix economic growth with attempts to accomplish the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) by the year 2030. BML Munjal University Gurgaon has initiated its undergraduate admission procedure for the academic year 2023-24. Form the current academic year, the university will not carry out a "Cutoff-Based" admission process. From now on, the university's admission requirements will not assess a student's ability just on their school exam scores, but also take into account standardised test scores, interviews, and other aspects depending on the programme chosen to examine the application. This new UG admission initiative will give much-needed help to students who faced cut-offs of up to 100% last year.
Interested B.Tech and Law candidates can now apply for admission based on their JEE Main and CLAT scores respectively. Students with valid BMU SAT scores will also be eligible for admission into their desired programmes. Admission to the undergraduate programmes of BML Munjal University will need the successful completion of 10+2 or the equivalent, as well as satisfying university admissions standards mentioned on the official website.
The BML Munjal University's Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) has been selected as a mentor to the other IICs as a part of the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell initiative through which knowledge exchange resource mobilization among IIC institutions are done. Out of more than 2500 IICs in India, the IIC of BML Munjal University has been chosen for the Mentor-Mentee programme 2021-22 along with 49 other institutions IICs. The Institution's Innovation Council of BML Munjal University will mentor 5 institutions under this programme between October 2022 and March 2023. The MIC/AICTE will provide financial assistance to the BML Munjal University IIC to organize a certain set of activities for the mentee institutions which will help them run efficiently their own campus Innovation & Entrepreneurship ecosystems.
