Government College (GC), Dharamshala Admission 2026 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

The Government College Dharamshala's admissions process is conducted fully online for all undergraduate, postgraduate, professional, and supplemental certification programmes. The primary college website is where candidates must register. Students must have achieved a passing mark on the required exams in order to be admitted to any programme at GC Dharamshala.

The college only requires an entrance test for professional programmes including the Government College Dharamshala MBA, BTech (CSE), BCA, and PGDCA. 

GC Dharamshala UG Courses

Eligibility :

i) Successful completion of the Senior Secondary (+2) Examination (Academic Stream), administered by the H.P. Board of School Education, or a test recognised as its equivalent by the several H.P. University organisations. 

• Applicants to the B.Sc. programmes who passed the qualifying test in the scientific stream will be given precedence. 
• Applicants to the GC Dharamshala B.Com. programmes who have passed the qualifying test in the commerce stream will be given precedence.

ii) A candidate must be older than 23 (or 25 for girls) as of July 1, 2013, and they cannot have been born earlier than July 1, 1990. However, in cases when candidates are beyond the age limit, the vice chancellor may grant a six-month age relaxation. For students who belong to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, a three-year remission is permitted under the laws. 

iii) A candidate who has a compartment in 10 + 2 or who fails all of their subjects will not be accepted.

To complete an undergraduate programme, a student must pass a few required courses. There are four types of these required courses:

• All students enrolling in a UG degree programme must successfully complete a minimum of three and a maximum of six required courses. 
• A student who majors in a language, however, will NOT take a compulsory course in that language. 
• A student who plans to major in a certain social science will NOT take that course as a requirement.

GC Dharamshala PG Classes in English :

The college notice board will publish the admissions schedule for the 40 M.A. English seats. Merit-based admission to the MA in English programme will be granted on the basis of the qualifying examination in accordance with H.P. University's policies in this area.

Eligibility 

a) The age requirement as of the first of July 2013 is 26 years for males, 28 years for girls, and 29 years for applicants who are SC or ST. 

b) A student must have received either a qualifying exam score of 50% or 45% overall in the subject of English in order to be admitted to the MA English programme.

Candidates must adhere to the following instructions:

• "Click here to Fill Online Admission Form" should be chosen. 
• Users who have already registered should select "Fill Online Form." 
• Enter the necessary information, then select "Submit." 
• Choose the "Registration Form Login" for new users. 
• Complete the necessary information, then press the "Submit" button.
