Hi there,

If you graduated from CRSU Jind in 2024 and initially enrolled in the MA Business Economics program at KUK University but had to withdraw, you are now in a position to pursue additional higher education alternatives. First of all, prior to submitting an application to any college, consider your future goals. Would you wish to pursue a different subject or career path, or do you want to stay in a business-related field? You might think about disciplines like Finance and Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or Business Administration (MBA). If you're interested in fusing Technology and Business, consider Data Science or Analytics and International Relations, etc.

Now when you're thinking about applying to another university, keep the following points in mind:

  • Confirm Eligibility: For postgraduate courses, each university will have specific criteria. Make sure you fulfil those criteria (for example, general MA programs demand a bachelor's degree in any area).
  • Find Colleges That Offer the Programs You Want: Look for universities that offer MA programs or comparable fields based on your area of interest. MBA or M.Sc. programs in Economics at institutions like Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Symbiosis, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), etc., could be excellent choices.

Further, if you're interested in pursuing an interdisciplinary field, consider studies in Data Science, Public Policy, or Economics. Many colleges now offer online MA degrees, including those from IGNOU, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Amity University, and others, if you're seeking for flexibility.

Based on your background in BA (Bachelor of Arts), here are a few possible programs that might interest you:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): If you're interested in business and management, an MBA could be an excellent choice. Depending on which university you choose, you may be required to take entrance examinations such as the CAT (Common Admission Test), MAT, or XAT.
  • M.A. Economics: If you enjoyed economics in your undergraduate studies, this may be a natural next step. Many universities, including Delhi University, JNU, BHU, and TISS, offer excellent MA Economics programs.
  • Master of Financial Economics: A specialised area of economics that focusses on finance and economics, offered by institutions such as Mumbai University and TISS.
  • Public Policy or International Relations: If you're interested in the sociopolitical or governance aspects of economics, consider applying for an MA in public policy or international relations.
  • Master's degree in Data Science or Analytics: If you're interested in technology and want to combine your economics background with data analysis, this could be a great option. Several universities and organisations provide specialised courses in this field.

Here are some popular universities and institutes where you can apply for MA or related programs:

If you believe that a typical MA or MBA is not the right fit for you, here are some alternatives that can help you further your career:

  • Certification Programs: Consider being certified in data analysis, financial modelling, machine learning, or digital marketing. Institutes such as Coursera, edX, and Udemy provide excellent courses from prestigious colleges such as Harvard and Stanford.
  • Internships: Consider applying for internships in fields such as banking, economics research, or business consultancy. These internships may help you develop industry-specific skills and improve your resume.

I hope your question was answered satisfactorily. Still, if you have any queries, please post them in our QnA section.

Good-luck!
