IDRBT Hyderabad Admission 2026 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

Admissions to the M.Tech in Information Technology (with specialization in Banking Technology and Information Security) is done by the University of Hyderabad on an all-India basis. Only the GATE percentile scores, in Computer Science and Information Technology, in order of merit, is the criteria for admissions. No written test or interview is conducted.

Further, the minimum qualification for admission to the course is as under:

• A minimum of 60% marks in the Bachelor's Degree examination in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech.); (or) M. Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Sciences/Electronics; (or) Master's degree in Computer Applications (MCA).

A candidate must hold a first class (minimum of 60% marks) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR a first class Master's Degree in any subject with a minimum of 10+2+4 years of formal education. Candidates who are in the final year are also eligible to apply provided they complete the formal education as specified above latest by June 30 of the year of commencement of the course. All direct candidates need to possess a valid CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT/ATMA/GRE score at the time of submission of application form.
