The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad organised the MANLIBNET 2023 International Conference on Empowering Libraries, Connecting Communities: Innovation, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Management Libraries Network. The event will take place between October 5th and 7th, 2023 at IMT Ghaziabad in India.

The IMT GHAZIABAD LIBRARY is proud to host the 21st MANLIBNET International Conference on "Empowering Libraries, Connecting Communities: Innovation, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship." IMTG and MANLIBNET strongly believe that libraries must constantly adapt and evolve in order to remain relevant. This one-of-a-kind conference will not only provide the opportunity to learn about new technology and services in library and information science but also about entrepreneurship and partnership with the community and society. It is critical to stay current on breakthroughs in the fields of library and information science in our fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This conference provides a forum for meeting and learning from colleagues, which is the ideal approach to ignite fresh ideas and obtain insights. 

The Objectives of the Conference

In order to empower libraries and link communities, the conference hopes to inspire delegates to think creatively, work efficiently, and embrace entrepreneurship. The conference's goals are to: 

• Encourage people to think outside the box in order to find new and creative methods to aid libraries and bring people together;

The Institute of Management Technology recently participated in ‘Techkriti 2023’. Two proud students of IMT Ghaziabad, namely, Sushmita Singh and Rajiv Bose, reached the Finale Round of the festival. Techkriti is one of Asia’s largest Technical and Entrepreneurial Festivals. It aims to impart technical knowledge to students through various workshops, competitions, talk series, E-conclaves, and, Tech Summits. The annual festival is held for a duration of 4 days every year in the month of March by IIT Kanpur. This year also, the festival was held from March 23, 2023, to March 26, 2023. Rajiv and Sushmita made IMT Ghaziabad proud by becoming the National Finalists in the ‘Marketing Mavericks’ competition. Both are presently pursuing the PGDM EXP batch of 2022-2024. 

The Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad admission 2023 for the Postgraduate Diploma in Management for Working Executives (PGDM WE) is now open. The programme is special designed for working professionals and is a 2-year AICTE-approved course. In order to apply for this course, the applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience. The course is conducted through on-campus classes on alternate weekends. The PGDM WE course is offered in 5 specializations namely Leadership and Strategy, IT Analytics, Applied Finance, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations. The applications for the 2023 admissions for the course will be accepted through online mode only. Interested candidates are advised to apply soon through the official website of the institute which is imt.edu. 

Mr Ankit Aggarwal, founder of the startup “Unstop”, and a proud alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad 2010 batch, recently participated in Shark Tank India season 2. Shark Tank India is a popular show where companies come and pitch for investments to some reputed entrepreneurs. Mr Ankit pitched his company “Unstop” on the show at a whopping valuation of Rs 50 crore. He also successfully closed his investment deal at 4% equity for Rs 2 crores. Unstop is an online educational platform where students can access information regarding various upcoming educational events, quizzes, internships, and, even job offers. 

The Institute of Technology Management Ghaziabad successfully conducted the “Finance Conclave 2023” on February 5, 2023. The event was conducted in the seminar hall of the IMT Ghaziabad campus itself. Students and staff discussed the various dimensions of Finance along with the newly released National Budget of 2023. The event was enriching and gave students an insight into the world of finance.  

The IMT Ghaziabad Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) admissions for 2023 are currently ongoing. The institute recently closed its PGDM 2023 admissions on January 31, 2023, but the FPM intake is still open. FPM is offered at the doctoral level at IMT Ghaziabad. It is a full-time 4-year course which is accredited by the NBA and AACSB. It is offered in 9 specialisations like Business Analytics, Financial Management, and Information Technology Management, to name a few. Interested candidates are advised to apply soon for the FPM admission through the institute's official website of the institute which is imt.edu, to avoid missing out on the last date of application. 

The IMT Ghaziabad admission process for its PGDM courses is about to close on January 31, 2023. The admissions which had earlier closed on November 25, 2022, were re-opened on December 27, 2022, after the announcement of CAT 2022 results. Now, the applications are again set to close on January 31, 2023. Interested candidates are advised to apply soon on the official website imt.edu. 

IMT Ghaziabad is all set to host its Alumni Meet on January 21, 2023. The Alumni Relationship Committee is conducting the IMT Ghaziabad Reunion 2023 in the campus premises. The IMT Ghaziabad Alumni Meet will be for the batches of 1996, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2006, and, 2007. The time will be 3 pm IST. the institute has provided a link for registration for the Reunion on its official website. Interested alumni must register themselves soon.  

The ‘IMT Common Admission 2023’ is currently ongoing for all IMT branches, namely, Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, and, Dubai. The institute had earlier closed its applications on November 25, 2022. It re-opened the applications on December 27, 2022, after the announcement of the CAT 2022 result. The common application for IMT Ghaziabad admission to its 2-year PGDM courses will close on January 31, 2023. Interested candidates must apply soon on the official website.

IMT Ghaziabad has recently concluded its placement drive for the 2021-2023 passing batch. The placement records have surpassed all previous records for the 2023 session. The IMT Ghaziabad highest package was recorded at Rs 34 lakh per annum for the domestic offers and at Rs 65.6 lakh per annum for the international offers. The average package offered was Rs 17.35 lakh per annum which is the maximum average package awarded till now. The median package stood at Rs 16 lakh per annum. More than 150 companies participated in the placements out of which 77 were first-time recruiters. Further, there was an increase of 14% as compared to the previous year's records. 

IMT Ghaziabad recently welcomed ‘QI Lifecare’ to its campus. QI Lifecare Pvt. Ltd. follows a fact-based approach to combat lifestyle diseases by filling in the gap between fitness and medicine. The talent acquisition team of the firm offered students the opportunity to take part in the short-term projects of the firm. 

The Alumni Relationship Committee of the Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad is hosting an Alumni Meet on January 21, 2023, at 3 pm (IST). The batches of 1996, 1997, 2001, and, 2002, are invited to attend the meet and spend a memorable time with their batch mates. The venue of the meeting is the IMT Ghaziabad campus. Interested alumni may contact the institute for further details on the same. 

December 09, 2022, marked the ceremonial launch of the 6th edition of IMTG’s award-winning Sustainability & Social Responsibility (SSR) course with the 10th I’M The Change Talk delivered by Dr. Bharat Vatwani, Founder, Trustee & Chief Functionary of “Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation” and recipient of the esteemed Ramon Magsaysay Award, widely revered as Asia’s Nobel Prize. The distinguished talk which was organized by the I’M The Change Initiative headed by Dr Kasturi Das, Chairperson, Sustainability & Social Responsibility, IMT Ghaziabad, in association with the Academic Committee, IMT Ghaziabad, found active participation by students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff members of the IMT Ghaziabad fraternity in large numbers.

About the I’M The Change Initiative

Tracing back to October 01, 2016, when the entire country was awaiting to observe the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, IMT Ghaziabad, translated his eternal teaching of “Be the change you want to see in the world” to launch a unique initiative titled “I’M The Change Initiative on Sustainability & Social Responsibility” comprising: (a) a required, three-credit course on Sustainability & Social Responsibility for the two-year PGDM Programme; and (b) a distinguished talk series called “I’M The Change Talk”. The SSR course, which embeds a service-learning pedagogy, requires students working in teams to engage with marginalized communities through the hands-on execution of social projects that are aligned with one or more sustainable development goals (SDGs) and are executed in partnership with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or government agencies. The core objective is to allow students to observe how people live who are unlike themselves, especially the underprivileged, and enable students to become contributors in social problem-solving and in the process experience the “joy of contribution”. I’M The Change Talk Series was launched as an integral part of the SSR course with the vision of allowing an opportunity for our students to learn from the real change makers and motivate them to do their bit for the society

Past editions of the I’M The Change Talks have been delivered by Shri Anshu Gupta (Magsaysay Awardee), Dr. Harish Hande (Magsaysay Awardee), Shri Sonam Wangchuk (Magsaysay Awardee), Ms. Geeta Dharmarajan (Padmashri), “Padman” Dr. Arunachalam Muruganantham (Padmashri), Prof Anil Gupta (Padmashri), among other esteemed speakers. I’M The Change Initiative, along the way, has received coveted recognition globally as well as in India. IMT Ghaziabad bagged the ‘Gold Award’ for I’M The Change under the theme: ‘Developing a Future-ready Curriculum’ at the 8th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) Awards 2017 held at the IIM Lucknow on August 4 and 5, 2017. In what may be considered a rare feat, within merely a year of joining the UN-PRME as an ‘Advanced Signatory’, IMT Ghaziabad got selected as one of the ‘PRME-Champions’ – a league of 38 leading management schools from all across the globe.

5 students of IMT Ghaziabad namely Raghav Bansal, Aman Arora, Mayukh Sinha, Shivam Gupta, and, Shinjini Sinha have reached the zonal finals of the annual global competition “CFA Institute Research Challenge”. The competition provides students with hands-on mentoring and training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Candidates assume the roles of real-world research analysts as part of this competition and gain real-world experience. The Regional Semi-Finals are expected to be held on April 6 and 7, 2023, followed by the Regional Finals on April 13 and 14 2023. The Global Final will be held on May 3, 2023. 

The Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad has re-opened the applications for the Common Admission 2023 for its PGDM course. The 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses are offered in multiple specialisations such as banking and financial services, marketing, finance, dual-country programmes, etc. Aspiring candidates can apply for the same through the official website of the institute which is imt.edu by paying an application fee of Rs 2,500. The IMT Ghaziabad admission process will begin thereafter in the first week of February 2023.

IMT Ghaziabad has announced the placement statistics for the 2023 passing batch at the institute. As per the official notification, the IMT Ghaziabad placement has surpassed all previous records for the batch of 2023. The average package of Rs 17.35 lakh per annum is the maximum average CTC recorded till now. Moreover, the highest package for domestic offers stood at Rs 34 lakh per annum. The highest international package stood at Rs 65.6 lakh per annum.
