The AICTE has approved the Institute of Technology Korba in Chhattisgarh. The institution is also affiliated with the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University.

The Bachelor of Engineering degree is offered in four different streams at the institute. Candidates interested in any of the four streams can apply. Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science &  Engineering are the four streams.

Each stream contains 60 seats, bringing the total number of seats in the Bachelor of Engineering program to 240. 60% of seats are allocated based on the Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test, 25% of seats are issued based on the JEE Mains, and the remaining 15% are management quota seats.

• Eligible candidates will be called by IT Korba for the counseling. All the applicants holding a class 10th and 12th pass certificate from any recognized board are considered suitable for admission if they have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12th. 
• Counseling is held at the campus of the Institute of Technology, Korba. After the cut-off list is published, students get to know what stream they are getting. Admission seekers must submit all their documents and complete the counseling process if they get their stream choice.

• Out of all the applicants, the Institute of Technology Korba selects students on entrance test scores. The candidates must have passed their class 12th from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, to be eligible for admissions to the IT Korba courses. 
• The final selection is made based on their entrance exam scores if the candidate is eligible.
