85+ Percentile in JEE Main 2026 Predictions and Expectations

The JEE Main cutoff changes every year and differs across categories. While the qualifying percentile does not guarantee admission to NITs or IIITs, it is mandatory for students to appear in JEE Advanced exam 2026. As our experienced JEE ranks vs percentile analysis expert Supreeta Roy predicts - "Having scored 85+ percetnile in JEE Mains Session 1 exam 2026, you can expect a rank between 211,500 and 225,000. This means you will likely have to achieve 82-84.2+ marks in the paper. However, given a tough paper, this marks range may fall between 58.5-59.9+. With this percentile score, students can get admission to  IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Gwalior, NIT Goa etc. But top NITs are usually out of reach, especially for the General category candidates." The article deals with the expected marks vs rank for 85+ percentile in JEE Mains 2026, estimated using this year's difficulty level and recent cutoff trends.

Predicted Percentile for 165 Marks in JEE Main 2026 Session 1

Predicted Percentile for 165 Marks in JEE Main 2026 Session 1: If you score 165 marks in JEE Main 2026 Session 1, you are in a good and highly competitive position. At this score, the candidate remains well ahead of the vast majority who take the test, and can be confident of solid chances during counselling. Based on subject experts’ analysis and previous years, it is expected that a candidate scoring 165 or more marks in a moderately difficult paper may fetch a percentile of approximately 98.56+ with a rank of approximately 21,600 or better. Though these figures are indicative and may slightly vary due to normalisation across shifts and overall performance at the all-India level, this score provides a good benchmark and is confidently taken into account in the planning of admission.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

Year 10 of IGCSE is considered equivalent to Class 10 in other boards such as CBSE and ICSSE. It is not possible to complete a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course in 4 years after Class 10th.

This is because the eligibility criteria for BBA is 10 + 2 years of secondary education and then the duration of the BBA course itself is 3 years. Hence, it will take at least 5 years for your son to complete a BBA course after 10th. That is if your son pursues a Diploma course in Management or related streams such as Commerce or Economics.

That way, he can get Lateral Entry to the 2nd year of the BBA course and hence take only 2 years in the undergraduate degree course. Here is all the information you require about the BBA admission process in India.

Please note that since you have selected PSG Polytechnic College Coimbatore, I must inform you that Diploma in Engineering is a 3-year course after which it will take your son 3 more years to complete BBA that is a total of 6 years. Lateral entry to BBA will not be possible after Diploma in Engineering.

Please also note that you will find advertisements of 1-year BBA course offered by certain institutes. Please do not fall for them as those are all frauds. The minimum course duration for BBA is 3 years as specified by AICTE.

Here are some of the colleges offering Diploma in Management in India.

For the most reliable information and to discuss your admission requirements, please talk to our student counsellor at 18005729877. Best of luck!
