LPU is the best for BPT. I will share few highlights of this department. 1. The department has the distinction of being approved by Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP) 2. One of the few institutes in North India having speciality labs of Neurological rehabilitation, Orthopaedic rehabilitation & Sports medicine, Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation & Paediatrics rehabilitation 3. Hospital teaching with collaboration with JCI and NABH Accredited hospitals in Jalandhar and Ludhiana namely DMC, Fortis ,SPS Hospital. 4. Well equipped Physiotherapy OPD in SBRM Hospital , LPU ,Phagwara and Now in Jallandhar. Three Physiotherapy OPD’s are effectively running with a good flow of patients. 5. The students are getting exposure during their internships in various hospitals like Sir Ganga ram, Medhanta Medicity Fortis Hospital, Escorts Hospital, Max Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Jindal Group of Hospitals, Ivy Hospital, International & National Sports Teams, NIMHANS, PGIMR, CMC and DMC all over India. 6. The curriculum and the pedagogy of BPT and MPT degrees are taking the benchmark of national and international physiotherapy regulatory bodies. 7. Fostering healing– helping hands relationship with patients has been developed by organizing regular camps in the community at the University level. 8. Department has got eminent faculty members with international exposure in all specializations for teaching and training to develop skills in students as a whole. 9. The patient number has increased in the different OPDs of LPU and the students are getting maximum exposure in terms of patients. 15. Some of the students from UK did their internship in LPU physiotherapy department. They interacted with the patients and gave a positive feedback for the department.
