AIIMS in Alappuzha or Thrissur: The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Suresh Gopi has once again demanded the setting up of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Kerala, saying the state was in dire need of a world-class medical-cum-research institution. "Alappuzha should be given priority as there are no major healthcare facilities in the town and it is backwards on all other developmental fronts," he said. The authority has issued the provisional merit list for the non-service and in-service candidates. In the merit list, if the candidates find any discrepancies, they can raise grievances, and for the same, they should submit the supporting documents on or before November 10, 2025 (up to 4 PM).
