The highly anticipated 2023 edition of Episteme, India's largest undergraduate financial festival, was recently held at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), one of the most distinguished colleges at the University of Delhi. The three-day event, which took place from April 26 to April 28, was a huge success, attracting a large number of students and finance aficionados from across the country.

The Finance and Investment Cell of SRCC organised Episteme'23, which featured a variety of captivating competitions and instructive speaker sessions. The festival garnered a remarkable number of participants eager to study, compete, and develop their knowledge in this exciting sector, thanks to its reputation as the premier platform for finance and investing aficionados.

SRCC, founded in 1926, has garnered widespread acclaim as Asia's greatest business college and continues to be a dream university for innumerable commerce students. The Finance and Investment Cell, founded in 2009, seeks to instill financial acumen in young minds through frequent workshops, events, and collaborations with industry experts. The Cell provides students with real financial skills and information necessary for their future jobs by bridging the gap between teaching and practice.

Episteme has firmly established itself as a famous academic event, attracting participation not only from India but also from all over the world. This year's edition was no exception, with an astounding attendance of over 10,000 participants, demonstrating the festival's popularity and high standing in the finance and investment community.

SRCC will host India's largest UG Finance Festival from April 26 to 29, 2026.

Episteme' 23, India's largest undergraduate financial festival, will be a three-day event beginning April 26, 2023 on the SRCC campus.

The Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has announced the return of their renowned Finance Festival, 'Episteme'. Episteme is India's largest undergraduate financial festival, organised by the financial and Investment Cell of the Shri Ram College of Commerce. The Episteme' 23 festival will take place on April 26-27, 2023. The three-day event will include competitions and plenary talks on a variety of financial, economic, and geopolitical subjects. 

SRCC, which was established in 1926 to provide business education, is approaching its 100th year and is regarded as one of India's greatest commerce colleges. The Finance and Investment Cell at the SRCC was founded in 2009 to encourage financial instincts among students through various courses and events. Collaboration, engagement, and exposure from the industry advance the cell's aims and bridge the gap between instruction and practice. 

The SRCC's 'Epistme' festival is well-known for its world-class debates and competitions, which draw participants from all around the country and overseas. Over 14,000 people participated at EPISTEME 2022. Six competitions will be held in the 2023 edition:

  • Menace at Metropolis - The 'Menace' is the centrepiece event at Episteme' 23, which is a stock market simulation designed to test participants' trading awareness. 
  • Shri Ram Fund Face-Off - This is a Fund-Management competition in which competitors will be able to explore the various horizons of fund management in order to achieve optimal returns and benefits to their investors. 
  • Shri Ram Case Cade - This competition is intended to help competitors develop their problem-solving abilities through critical thinking and the exploration of different dimensions and solutions to solve a case or problem. 
  • Shri Ram Policy Battle - This competition intends to assess competitors' multidisciplinary approaches to policy implementation and decision-making in order to ensure optimal satisfaction to all stakeholders. 
  • Shri Ram Pitch(a)thon - The Pitch(a)thon competition is designed to put competitors' value-added abilities and ingenuity to the test. Participants in the competition will pitch their value-oriented ideas to a team of sharks (experts) and seek their support for their innovation.
  • Shri Ram M&A Championship - With an emphasis on investment banking and mergers, this competition will put players' economic interests to the test, requiring a reasonable evaluation of all possible events. 

There will also be panel discussions and speaker sessions to address economic trends and geopolitical quandaries. Episteme' 23 will feature a number of distinguished speakers and specialists from a variety of sectors, including finance, commerce, business, trade, and others.

 Previous editions of Episteme have included speakers such as Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, Zarin Daruwala, cluster CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Richard Rekhy, former CEO of KPMG India, Geoffrey Okomato, first deputy MD of IMF, V. Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor of India, Rajiv Memani, chairman and managing partner, EY India, and Sanjeev Krishnan, chairman, PwC India. The festival has previously worked with the World Bank Group, BSE Ltd., EY, Bajaj Capital, HDFC Mutual Fund, and Grant Thornton Bharat, among others.

This conclave is the college's yearly flagship event, and it will be offline for the first time since the pandemic this year.

The Business Conclave will be held at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) from April 12 to April 14, 2023. This conclave is the college's yearly flagship event, and it will be offline for the first time since the pandemic this year.

Students will get the opportunity to meet prodigies in their disciplines on their campus. It is intended to give students the opportunity to learn about the latest business trends and advancements while also interacting with renowned experts in the sector.

This year's Conclave is themed "Uniting Visionaries, Redefining Excellence," and students are encouraged to push themselves and reach their greatest potential. Students will participate in this event with industry executives and innovators. Several well-known individuals, including Nitin Gadkari, will attend the conclave. Bhupender Yadav, Naveen Jindal, Suresh Narayanan, Aryaman Birla, and a slew of others are among those honored.

SRCC to host the 12th edition of ‘Shri Ram Economics Summit 2026’ on April 7 and 8, 2026

Shri Ram College of Commerce is all set to host the 12th edition of its annual undergraduate festival “Shri Ram Economics Summit 2023” on April 7, 2023, and, April 8, 2023. The event is organised by The Economics Society of SRCC in partnership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The Economics Summit of SRCC is a platform for budding entrepreneurs, future economists, and, policymakers. Candidates who aspire to build a career in these fields look forward to this summit each year. The event consists of lectures, live interviews, panel discussions, and, competitions. Apart from this, there will also be 6 pan-India competitions that will have cash prizes. The speakers for this year will be Dr Rakesh Mohan (President, CSEP and Member of Economic Advisory Council to PM), Sanjeev Bikhchandani (Founder of Info Edge), and Kush Ahuja (Associate Director at ACCA).

SRCC Re-Union 2026 : Reuniting for the better!

On February 12, 2023, starting at 5 PM, the College Grounds (Front Lawns) SRCC will be the site of another spectacular event. Please accept our sincere invitation to the programme.

The spouse of an Alumni is not required to pay anything towards the programme. 

Children of alumni who are under the age of eight are also welcome without incurring any additional fees. Any more family members or friends will, however, be rigorously charged at Rs. 1000 per person.

Those who graduated in the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2021 must make sure they have joined the alumni association for life; if not, they must pay Rs. 700 for a one-time life membership.

SRCC ATMAN in collaboration with Art of Living

In a two-day workshop, ATMAN announced its collaboration with Art of Living. The session is expected to: a) introduce students to a vision towards their own mental and emotional health; b) introduce a straightforward and simple meditation practice; and c) connect them for life to a wealth of content for continuous journey of self-improvement. 

Date : 22nd and 23rd of February 2023.

An Art of Living effort called "Har Ghar Dhyan" is being carried out under the auspices of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The goal is to teach young people the fundamentals of yoga and meditation.

With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Ms. Santosh Sabharwal is an associate professor in the SRCC Commerce Department. For the 2016–17 academic year, she served as the department's head of commerce. Atman: The Mind, Body, and Soul Club, the first spirituality club at the University of Delhi, is the college organisation she founded and convenes. Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Cost, and Management Accounting are her areas of expertise and top-notch instruction. She holds several honours, including DU Leader, Gold Medalist, and other more accolades. She is now working on her PhD degree at the Faculty of Management Studies in the field of organisational behaviour.

"Research Handbook” published : A guide to novice researchers!

The Economics Society at SRCC is pleased to publish the "Research Handbook," the first manual of its sort for undergraduate researchers. In order to make the research process more accessible to novice researchers, the guidebook strives to democratise its guiding principles. 

It offers a methodical starting point for each piece of study and sets out to entirely dispel any unfavourable and untrue preconceptions about research. This mentality merits a quotation from Albert Einstein, who is regarded as one of the finest researchers of all time: "If we understood what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?" and possibly this manual, which is a bit more extensive.

SRCC Quiz Society organised the Spent Filler Quiz : Quizignia'23

The Quiz Society, SRCC is thrilled to announce the Spent Filler Quiz, which will be held as part of our spring annual quizzing festival, Quizignia'23, keeping in mind the significant effect of sports and entertainment on today's media and society.

All participants in the quiz must be under 25 years old, including students. Lone wolves, teams of two, and cross-college/institution teams are all acceptable.

The event took place in the Seminar Room of SRCC on February 14th at 11:30 am - 12:15 pm.                                                                                                                                         The The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 2,500

There was a registration capacity of 85, and registrations were closed once that cap was reached.

For Artha, the annual economics journal of Shri Ram College of Commerce, the Editorial Board of The Economics Society, SRCC seeks research papers and essays on diverse topics pertaining to the field of economics and its connection with finance, politics, and the global economy.

One of the most eagerly anticipated undergraduate research journals, Artha was founded by Dr. Ajay Chhibber, Maj. Gen. Anil Verma, Late Shri Arun Jaitley, Dr. Bibek Debroy, Dr. Viral Acharya, and Executive Directors at Reserve Bank of India.

It served as a tribute to The Economics Society's past and a forerunner of the dialogue that SRCC aims to incite. It included engrossing discussions and smart pieces.

Each year, Artha seeks to increase readers' awareness of current events while also inspiring them to view the world from a different angle. ICNHCFE 2026 organised by CKS of CVV and SRCC

SRCC Basic & Advanced Tally Workshop

Workshop on Basic & Advanced Tally with GST was organised by Seminar Committee Shri Ram College of Commerce on January, 13th & 14th 2023.

The goal of the training was to familiarise and arm participants with practical knowledge of the Tally software. The workshop's main goal was to give participants practical Tally training with a particular emphasis on GST. The course sought to close the knowledge gap between academia and industry practice by covering a wide range of topics from basic to advanced Tally, including Cost Centres, Cost Categories & Departments, Inventory Vouchers, and managing GST records using Tally. The workshop aimed to teach the learners practical knowledge through hands-on experience.

Participants had received training on more complex subjects like cost centres, cost categories, and extracting various accounting reports using TallyPrime. To fill the knowledge gap between academic theory and professional practice. To provide first-hand information on how to use TallyPrime for GST analysis, recording, and reporting of financial transactions.

SRCC BUSINESS CONCLAVE : GBO students hosted the National Management Festival

Business Conclave: From February 11 to 13, 2015, GBO students hosted the National Management Festival. Three significant events were held for management students from all throughout the nation. The activities included the strategic case study from Lannister's Game, the marketing plan from MarkeDiCanio, and the national debate competition from Symposium. 

Across all three events, there was a resounding response from more than four B-Schools in India, including IIM-A, IIM-B, IIT-B, XLRI, TAPMI, SP Jain, Narsee Monjee, XIM, MICA, NITIE, IIT-D, FMS, DSE, IMT-G, DFC, and Welinkar. The attendees had a positive experience at the events since there was good industry-academia contact.

SRCC GBO Exam Date 2026 : Admission open for Post Graduate Diploma programme

For the academic year 2023–2025, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) is accepting applications for admission to its Post Graduate Diploma programme in Global Business Operations (PGD GBO). Candidates that are interested may apply until January 5, 2023. To apply for the PGD GBO, candidates need to follow the SRCC GBO application procedure. 

According to SRCC, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent grades from a recognised university in order to be considered for admission to its PG Diploma in Global Business Operations programme. SRCC GBO exam date is February 6, 2023, to be held following the application procedure. Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the group discussion and personal interview rounds, as well as the scores they received on the online exam. SRCC GBO fees for application is Rs 2500.

It was determined that faculty will study and use multi-modal channels to present the curriculum in addition to offering e-resources through the website. as in attending online lessons A coordinated strategy has been developed and expanded on the counselling services to treat anxiety and stress, particularly among students, during the lockdown.
