ASBM University organised a two-day national youth festival called IGNITE 2023. The event was conducted on December 01 - 02, 2023. During this event, the ASBM University conducted various competitions, performances, and cultural activities. Students from various colleges participated in the choreographed dance displays and fashion parades.
IGNITE 2023 inauguration ceremony was attended by Shri Sridhar Patra the Chairman cum Managing Director of NALCO, Shri Sandipan Nair the Senior GM of Dalmia Cement, Shri B.C Mohanty the Managing Director of Oriclean Pvt Ltd, Shri B.K Panda the former Health Director and Shri Jyotirmaya Mohapatra the former Vice Chancellor of AIPH University. More than 500 students from all around India participated in this event.
The ASBM University organised the 13th National HR Symposium on the topic ‘Global HR: Building Organizations of the Future’ on November 18, 2023. During this event, ASBM University signed an MoU with the National HRD Network to launch a new Master's degree programme in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations.
The 13th National HR Symposium was inaugurated by Mr Prem Singh National President, NHRDN and President of Group HR, JK Organization. The university invited Ms Pallavi Pednekar and Ms Brishti Mondal as honoured guests. The event consisted of a vote of thanks speech by the co-coordinator of this event Dr. Hari Narayan Sahu and a technical round speech by various invited speakers. The event was concluded with a Q&A session by the students and other participants.
Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon'ble former President of India, along with Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Hon'ble Governor of Goa, marked their presence at the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of ASBM University. The event was further presided over by Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, the Founder and President of ASBM University.
Shri Ram Nath Kovind emphasised the role of ASBM University in the higher education scenario of Odisha. On the other hand, Guest of Honour Hon'ble Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai in his address focused on the values that are instilled through education. The Vice-Chancellor Ranjan Kumar Bal further presented the annual report at the event.
As a part of the convocation ceremony, honourary D.Litt. degrees were awarded to Hon'ble Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Goa, and to the founder of Air Deccan Captain G. R. Gopinath. Gold medals for academic excellence were given away by the Chief Guest to Samprit Raj Behera, Shivangi Pattanayak, Saddan Alam Khan and Faiza Feroz.
