CEED Part A is in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and is an entirely objective test. Applicants are required to respond to the entire question using of computer system. Salient CBT guidelines in CEED Part A are:
1. Types of questions: NAT (Numerical Answer Type), MSQ (Multiple Select Questions), and MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions).
2. On-screen Navigation: The applicants are free to navigate between the questions, check questions to be reviewed, and alter answers before final submission.
3. Negative Marking: Can only be applied to some of the sections (mostly MCQs); NAT questions are not marked negatively.
4. Submission of answers: Answers are automatically saved; however, final responses submitted are only graded.
