Below is the detailed eligibility criteria of CG PET 2026:
Nationality:
The candidate should be a citizen of India.
The candidate should be a resident of Chhattisgarh and should have a domicile of the state.
For Engineering:
Candidates should have passed Class 12 from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or an equivalent board.
Candidate should have qualified in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (both theory and practical), and one of the Technical vocational subjects in the qualifying exam.
The minimum marks for the General category are 45% and 40% for the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
For Agricultural Engineering:
Candidates should be above 16 years of age.
Candidates should have passed class 12 from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or an equivalent board.
The minimum marks for the General category are 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, and 45% in the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
Candidates appearing in the final exam are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
For Dairy Technology:
The candidate should be above 17 years of age as of 31st December 2026.
The candidate should have passed class 12 from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or an equivalent board.
The minimum mark for the General category is 50% marks in PCM+English and 40% for the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
Candidates appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

The difficulty level of CG PET exam will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying examination since the syllabus will be similar. Candidates will be assessed on their knowledge of topics from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
