CTET Exam Centres 2026

The CTET 2026 Exam Centres are now spread across 140 cities in India. During the application process, candidates were required to choose four preferred exam centre cities, but the final allotment depends on administrative feasibility and cannot be changed once issued. The CTET admit card 2026 will mention the exam centre address and reporting time.

The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted on February 7 and 8, 2026 in offline (OMR-based) mode in multiple shifts. CBSE released the CTET February 2026 city intimation slip on January 23, 2026, informing candidates of their allotted exam city. How to Locate CTET Exam Center 2026?

Getting anxious about locating your CTET 2026 Exam Centre? Worry not, given below we are sharing some steps that you can follow to ensure that you reach the exam centre on time and locate it as soon as possible:

Step 1: CBSE will release the CTET 2026 City Intimation slip on the official website. It will include information about the city allotted to you. The city will be allocated to you according to your 4 preferred cities.
Step 2: After learning about your city, you can start learning about the transport options available there.
Step 3: The CTET February 2026 final admit card will be released in February. The admit card will consist of the exact location of the exam centre. It will include the Institute name, street, locality, PIN Code, and landmark.
Step 4: If you are not sure about the exact location of the exam centre, try using Google Maps. Do not forget to verify the location of your exam centre.
Step 6: Try to visit your exam centre at least 1 to 2 days in advance if you are not familiar with the area.
Step 7: Try to calculate the time it takes for you to reach there. If you are using your vehicle, then it is recommended to look for a parking lot, but it is more convenient to use public transport.
Step 8: On D-Day, leave home as soon as possible to avoid any delay caused by a traffic jam. Make sure to carry all your documents.

CTET 2026 City Intimation Slip

The CTET 2026 city intimation is released through the official city intimation slip, also called the CTET pre-admit card. Registered candidates can download the CTET exam city slip by logging in with their Application Number and Date of Birth on the official website ctet.nic.in.

The CTET pre-admit card contains key details such as the exam city allotted to the candidate. To download it, candidates must visit the official website, click on the CTET pre-admit card / city intimation slip link, enter their login credentials, and download the exam city slip in PDF format. Candidates should carefully verify the details and keep a copy for reference.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will try to allot exam centres in the candidate’s preferred city. However, if the number of candidates in a notified city is low, the exam may not be conducted there, and candidates may be allotted centres in another city. Once an exam centre is allotted, no change will be permitted. Candidates are advised to regularly check ctet.nic.in for the latest updates.

CTET Exam Center Guidelines 2026

In the official notification, which is published by CBSE for CTET 2026 Exam day guidelines, you will find the exact guidelines to be followed during the paper. Refer to some of the guidelines given below:

The exam room will be opened at 7:30 AM for Paper–II (Morning) and at 12:30 PM for Paper-I (Evening). You are required to take your seat immediately after the exam hall is opened.
You must show your admit card in the examination hall. Without the admit card, you will not be allowed to take the exam.
You will be allotted a seat indicating your roll number. Find and occupy your seat as soon as possible.
If you arrive at the exam hall after the commencement of the exam, then you will not be permitted to sit in the exam.
The following items are prohibited from the exam hall: a) Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen drives, Eraser, Whitener, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/scanner, Cardboard, etc, b) Any communication devices like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health band etc, c) Any Watch/Wrist watch, wallet, goggles, handbags, Gold/artificial ornaments etc, d) Any other item which could be used for unfair means and for hiding communication devices/gadgets like Camera, Bluetooth device etc.
You are not allowed to leave your seat without the special permission of the Invigilator.
You must not leave the exam hall before submitting your answer sheet to the invigilator and signing the attendance sheet.
Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc., in the Examination Hall/Room is strictly prohibited.
Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed to be taken into the examination rooms during examination hours.
You will be given a sealed test booklet with an answer sheet placed inside 15 minutes before the commencement of the paper.
You are required to fill in the particulars on the cover page of the test booklet as soon as you get the test booklet with your ballpoint pens, either Black or Blue.
You shall bring your stationery items, and none of it will be provided by the Board.
You are not allowed to open the test booklet until asked to do so by the Invigilator. Do not open/break the seal before the announcement.

CTET Exam Centres 2026: Instructions while Making Choice

At the time of filling out the CTET application form, candidates need to choose the CTET exam centre cities. Consider the important instructions given below:

CTET exam centres are allotted based on first-come-first-serve.
Candidates can make changes as per their convenience in their choice of CTET exam centres during the application form correction facility.
It is to be noted that candidates can not request any changes once the CTET exam centre correction link is closed.
Candidates can check their CTET exam centre allocation on the admit card.
The admit card also comprises the CTET test centre name, location, and important instruction details.
Lastly, if the exam conducting authority finds that the total number of candidates is less at a particular exam centre in the city, then they might not conduct the exam at that particular exam centre. In this case, it will allocate the exam centre in the city that was chosen as the second, third, or fourth choice by the candidate.

How can I check my CTET exam city and date?

The CTET exam city and date are listed on the admit card as well as the CTET Pre-admit card for candidates to see. The admit card is made available by the CBSE a few days before the test. However, after the application form correction option closes, no requests for exam city modifications are granted. Candidates will have to visit the exam center they have been allotted on their CTET admit cards in order to appear for the exam.

How many exam city preferences can be chosen for CTET?

While completing the CTET application form, candidates can select up to four CTET exam cities. The exam center city preferences selected by the students in the online application form are taken into consideration by the CBSE when allotting exam cities to candidates. The CBSE will, however, assign any of the other exam center preferences if the first preference is unavailable. Candidates must choose the exam city preferences carefully when filling out the CTET application form and they must enter the exam city preferences in order of their convenience to reach the particular location.

How can candidates check their CTET exam center allotment?

When the CTET exam is officially announced, the CBSE publishes a list of the cities where the exam will be held on the official website - ctet.nic.in.
