GAT B Exam Centres 2026: NTA will soon release the complete list of GAT B 2026 exam centres in its official notification. As per the previous year’s notification, the GAT B 2026 exam is expected to be held in approximately 59 cities across India. This year’s official notification will be published on the official website, along with the release of GAT B application form 2026. While filling out the application form, you will have to choose four preferred GAT B exam centres 2026. It’s important to note that the NTA will randomly allocate your exam centre, and once it is assigned, no changes will be allowed.

List of GAT B Exam Centres 2026: State-Wise

When applying for GAT B 2026 exam, you are required to select four preferred cities for their exam centers. While efforts will be made to assign a center in the city of your choice, due to logistical or administrative reasons, you may be assigned a center in a nearby city. Once the exam center is allotted and the correction window has closed, no changes will be allowed.

GAT B Exam Centres 2026: How to Download Exam City Slips?

The National Testing Agency will release the exam city information slips for GAT B 2026. Candidates appearing for these exams can download the slips from the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/DBT/. These slips provide important information about the city where the exam center is located.

The exam city slip is not the same as GAT B 2026 admit card. As mentioned in the official notification: “This is NOT the Admit Card for GAT-B 2026. It only provides advance information on the city where the exam center will be located. The actual admit card will be issued later."

Given below is the step-by-step guide on how you can download your GAT-B 2026 exam city slip:

• Visit the official website: exams.nta.ac.in.
• Go to the “GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST – BIOTECHNOLOGY (GAT-B) ” section.
• Click on the link for downloading the exam city slip.
• Enter your application number and date of birth.
• Check the details and download the slip.

GAT B Exam Centres 2026: Important Instructions

Before heading to GAT B exam center, it is important for you to carefully read and follow the instructions provided on their Admit Card. 

• You must bring the following necessary documents to the exam center. Without the required documents, you will not be permitted to sit for the exam.
  • A printed copy of your GAT B Admit Card 2026 downloaded from the NTA website.
  • One passport-sized photograph (the same as uploaded on your Online Application Form) for attaching to the attendance sheet.
  • A valid, original government-issued photo ID (e.g., School ID, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhar Card with a photograph, Aadhar Enrollment Number, or Ration Card).
  • PwD certificate, if applicable.
• You must not carry any materials listed as prohibited to the exam center. Bags or any other personal belongings are not allowed inside the exam center. NTA will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
• You should arrive at the exam center at the time mentioned on your Admit Card to avoid crowding. It’s important that you reach the test center by the reporting time or earlier. Late entry will not be allowed.
• Identity checks and biometric data collection will be conducted at the center to ensure your authenticity. You are required to cooperate with security personnel during these checks. Unauthorized candidates will not be allowed.
• You must present your Admit Card upon request for entry into the exam hall. You will not be allowed to take the exam without a valid Admit Card.
• You are not allowed to leave your assigned seat or the exam room without the express permission of the Invigilator or Centre Superintendent until the exam duration has ended.
• Only you will be allowed inside the test center. Friends or family members will not be permitted to enter or interact with you during the exam process.
• You must arrive at your own cost on the date and time specified on your Admit Card issued by NTA. No travel allowance (TA), daily allowance (DA), or accommodation will be provided to you for attending GAT B 2026.

GAT B Exam Centres 2026: Prohibited Materials

Those appearing for GAT-B Exam 2026 must ensure they do not bring the following prohibited items into the exam room or hall:

• Textual materials such as books, printed or written notes.
• Electronic devices, including:
  • Calculators
  • Docu Pens
  • Slide Rules
  • Log Tables
  • Electronic watches with calculator functions
  • Mobile phones
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Pagers or any similar gadgets.

Possession of any of the above items will be considered unfair means. This can result in the cancellation of the current exam and disqualification from future exams. Any prohibited materials will be confiscated. Additional restrictions include:

• Smoking, chewing gum, or spitting is strictly prohibited inside the exam room.
• Candidates are not allowed to carry any of the following:
  • Stationery like instrument boxes, pencil cases, or paper
  • Personal items like handbags, purses, or metallic objects
  • Food or beverages, including tea, coffee, snacks, or water (loose or packed)
  • Other gadgets, such as earphones, microphones, cameras, tape recorders, etc.

Note for diabetic students: Diabetic students may bring sugar tablets, fruits (such as bananas, apples, or oranges), and a transparent water bottle. However, packed foods like chocolates or sandwiches are not permitted.
