About NCET ITEP 2026

NCET ITEP 2026 will likely be conducted in the last week of April 2026, across multiple days in 2 shifts, depending on the number of applications. The online form will tentatively be available for submission from the 3rd/ 4th week of February 2026.

To apply for NCET ITEP, applicants must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 from a recognised board. Final admission also includes meeting course-specific subject requirements. The exam is held in Computer-Based Test mode, where students must attempt language-based, domain-specific, general test, and aptitude-related sections. Overall, there are 181 questions, out of which you have to answer 160. For every correct answer, students get +4, while for every incorrect response, no mark is deducted.

Admission to the participating colleges is done through counselling at NCTE-approved institutes offering BA B.Ed, BSc B.Ed, and BCom-B.Ed courses. NCET scores are a must to be considered for seat allotment, while universities may have their own rules to be fulfilled during counselling and final document verification.

NCET ITEP is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme across India. The programme is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is offered only at selected Central and State Universities, IITs, NITs, Government Colleges, and Regional Institutes of Education. NCET ITEP 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must meet the NCET ITEP eligibility criteria must be met to be able to apply for the exam and gain admission. You must have completed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board.
