The authority has provided reservation of seats for the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD). While 53.5% seats are for the students of the General category, 46.5% seats are for the Reserved category. The seats reserved for each category are listed below:

A total of 7.5% seats are reserved for SCs in the PU CET PG exam.
A total of 15% seats are reserved for SCs in the PU CET PG exam.
A recognised bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 Years duration with at least 50% total marks and with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or graduation / BCA degree with at least 50% marks from Panjab University.
For pursuing Master of Arts (MA) through PU CET, the candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree with at least 45% in the selected subject or a bachelor’s degree in any specialisation with at least 50% marks in total.
