CBSE Class 12 Geography Exam Pattern 2025-26 is now available on the official website of CBSE Academics at cbseacademic.nic.in. The theory paper will be conducted for 70 marks. These marks are equally divided into two books, namely Fundamentals of Human Geography and India People and Economy. 30 marks will be allotted for the practical paper. The theory paper will have MCQs, very short answer type questions, short answer type questions, long answer type questions, and map-based questions. CBSE Class 12 Geography Question Paper Pattern 2026
The question paper of the CBSE Class 12 Geography exam will contain 30 questions, including MCQs, short answers, Source-based, and long answer questions. All questions will be compulsory. The question paper will contain five sections. Sections A, B, C, D, and E.- In Section A, Questions number 1 to 17 will be Multiple Choice type questions carrying 1 mark each.
- In Section B, Questions 18 and 19 will be Source-based questions with 3 marks each.
- In Section C, Questions numbers 20 to 23 will be Short Answer type questions carrying 3 marks each. Answers to these questions shall range from 80 to 100 words.
- In Section D, Questions numbers 24 to 28 will be Long Answer type questions with 5 marks each. Answers to these questions shall range from 120 to 150 words.
- Section E will have Questions 29 and 30 which will be Map-based questions.
