About NEET Counselling 2026 (Soon)

The NEET 2026 counselling process is expected to begin in July 2026 offline. The NEET 2026 Counselling is conducted in online mode, in about three to five rounds initially, followed by an extended round of counselling if seats remain vacant. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET 2026 AIQ Counselling on behalf of the NTA for 15% seats. The remaining 85% State Quota seats will be filled through the state-wise counselling process, conducted by the respective counselling authorities. Step-by-Step NEET UG Counselling 2026

To understand the NEET UG 2026 Counselling process in detail, follow the step-by-step guidelines provided below for an in-depth idea:

Stage 1: NEET Counselling 2026 Registration

  • All eligible students are required to participate in and complete the online registration process for the NEET counselling.
  • To register online, students must visit the official website of NEET UG 2026 Counselling and click on the direct link provided on the homepage.
  • All students are required to fill in important details, such as personal information, educational qualifications, NEET score, and rank obtained, as well as other related details.
  • Once the details have been filled out, students must click on the submit button. A copy of the registered counselling roll number and password will be sent to the students at their registered email address.
  • Now, students are required to log into the NEET 2026 Counselling portal and complete the remaining steps for registration, such as uploading all the specified 

Stage 2: Choice Filling for NEET Counselling 2026

  • The next step of the counselling process is participating in the NEET 2026 Choice Filling process on the official portal of MCC.
  • During this process, students are required to select three choices of colleges and courses for admission in order of preference, from the listed options in the dropdown menu. 
  • The choice filling process is conducted based on the students’ NEEET score and the seat matrix of the participating colleges. 
  • To confirm your choices, you must lock them by clicking on submit button. 
  • For instance, when a student forgets to lock their choices manually, they will be automatically locked as soon as they click on the submit button.
  • Students must note that no further edits will be entertained after this. Make sure you have a copy with you for future reference.

Step 3: Pay NEET Counselling 2026 Fees

  • To confirm their choices and registration, students must pay the requisite NEET 2026 counselling fees as specified by the category-wise fee structure.
  • Along with the counselling fee, students are also required to pay a security deposit, which is refundable after the admission process is completed.
  • The modes of payment for the counselling fee are Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, or UPI. 
  • In case any student fails to pay the counselling fee, their candidature will be deemed invalid. 

Stage 4: NEET Counselling Seat Allotment 2026

  • The NEET 2026 seat allotment process will be conducted as the final stage of the counselling process.
  • This round of the NEET counselling process is conducted based on the choices filed out by the students during the choice-filling process. 
  • The seat allotment is administered separately for each round of counselling, and the results for every round are published based on the seat matrix of the participating colleges.
  • Students can either accept their allotted seats or participate in the next round of counselling again. 
  • To confirm the assigned seats, students will have to pay the admission fee as per the college guidelines. 

Stage 5: NEET Counselling 2026 Reporting to Allotted Colleges 

  • The last step of the NEET Counselling 2026 process is the reporting of students at their allotted colleges.
  • This is conducted by the respective institutes over the specified period. 
  • Students are required to participate in the document verification process and appear for interview rounds if required, to confirm their admission to the allotted colleges. 
  • The documents to be produced during this process must match the list of documents submitted during the NEET 2026 counselling registration process.
