GSEB HSC Grading System 2026 follows a seven-point grading system for Class 12 exams, consistent across Science, Commerce, and Arts streams for 2026 results. A1 to D grades are available in the GSEB HSC grading system where A1 (91-100%) is the highest grade while D (33-40%) is the lowest grade. The grading system was implemented by the authorities of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in 2011, and since then, the same grading system has been used by the board to grade the students. If you want to get an A1 grade, then you will have to score more than 90% marks in your board exams. The aggregate total of the students must be more than 90% to get a good division and the best grade available in the grading system. The students need to score more than 33% marks to successfully pass .

The GSEB HSC Result 2026 will be released in the first week of May 2026 tentatively. How To Calculate Rank Using the GSEB HSC Grading System 2026?

The students can easily calculate their rank by using the grading system created by the Gujarat Board of Secondary Education in the year 2011. Follow the simple steps given below to calculate your rank accordingly:

GSEB HSC Passing Marks 2026

To pass the Class 12th final exams, a candidate must score at least 33% in both theory and practical/internal examinations. Additionally, an aggregate score of 33% across all subjects is required. The detailed criteria for GSEB HSC passing marks in 2026 are as follows:

  • A pass certificate is awarded to candidates who meet the GSEB HSC passing marks.

  • All external examination subjects (main/compartmental) must be passed with a minimum score of 33%.

  • For subjects with practical components, candidates must score at least 33% in both theory and practical work separately. A combined score of 33% is also required to pass.

  • Candidates exempted from one or more internal exams are eligible to take the external exams, but the result will be announced only if all other conditions for the GSEB HSC passing marks 2026 are met.

GSEB HSC Marking Scheme 2026

No necessary changes are made in the current GSEB HSC marking scheme. The maximum marks allotted for all the subjects in the GSEB HSC exam are 100. The passing marks for each subject is 33%. Students must also score 33% in an aggregate marks. It is not mandatory to obtain 33% separately in the practical and theory examination. The question paper of the GSEB HSC exam 2026 includes both descriptive and objective questions for 20% and 30% respectively. The maximum time duration for the GSEB 12th Board Exam 2026 is 3 hours.   • Objective type questions - 1 mark each

Submit with details like roll number, subject (s), and pay fees using credit/ debit card, net banking, or demand draft. Students will have to pay INR 100 per subject (INR 500 for all).

GSEB HSC Supplementary Exams 2026 provide a chance for students failing in one or two subjects or up to five in some cases to clear the Class 12 board without repeating the year. The GSEB HSC supplementary exam 2026 will tentatively be conducted from June 23 to July 3, 2026, following main exam results in May 2026.
