About Meghalaya Board of School of Education

Established in 1973, the Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education is responsible for preparing the curriculum and conducting exams for students at different levels. The board conducts exams for students at primary, middle, and secondary levels. MBOSE has schools in different districts. The examination process is managed by NEHU-North East Hills University, which has its head office in Shillong. From 1996 onwards, the University (NEHU) discontinued the Pre-University Course, and the Board took over the management. MBOSE defines the syllabus and exam pattern for each subject on its official website. Based on these notifications, students can optimize their exam preparations. MBOSE SSLC, HSSLC Admit Card 2026

The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) will release the MBOSE SSLC Admit Card 2026 on its official website in February 2026. Students will have to collect their admit cards from their respective school heads. After collecting the MBOSE admit card, students must ensure that the admit card has the Principal's signature as well as the school's stamp. In addition, they must check important information such as the student's name, date of birth, examination center details, school name, subjects with subject code, and the date and time of the exam. Besides the details, some important instructions are mentioned on the MBOSE Board Admit card. The students must follow the guidelines to make the board exam process smooth. If students violate any instructions, action can be taken against them.

Meghalaya board prescribes the MBOSE SSLC Exam Pattern 2026 along with the syllabus and marking scheme for the SSLC exam. Students are given three hours to write the answers for each theory subject. They can note down the important topics and also check the weightage for each of the topics. This helps them to prepare the topics accordingly and pay more attention to scoring high marks. For HSSLC Science, Commerce, and Arts subjects, MBOSE provides the syllabus online. Students can check and download the syllabus for their subjects. In addition, they can also check the marks allotted to each of the topics, which would give them an idea of the important topics. While downloading the syllabus, students can focus on the important topics.

The students need to score at least 33% marks in each of the subjects and an overall aggregate to pass the MBOSE Class 12 board exams. The students can download the syllabus in PDF format. If required, students can take a printout of the syllabus and prepare for the board exams. Irrespective of the field, students have to select five subjects. They must choose at least two languages, out of which one should be Hindi or English. MBOSE SSLC, HSSLC Result 2026

The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) will declare the MBOSE Class 12 (HSSLC) Result in May 2026. MBOSE Class 10 SSLC results can be accessed online by entering the student's roll number, school code, or date of birth along with the verification captcha. Students must focus on achieving at least 33% scores in each subject to earn their passing grades. Failure to achieve 33% marks in aggregate will result in compartment results.

MBOSE SSLC, HSSLC Supplementary Exam 2026

After the announcement of the MBOSE SSLC and HSSLC result, the board will conduct the supplementary exams for students who could not score the passing marks in board exams. In the supplementary exams, students will only be allowed to sit for a maximum of two subjects. To appear for the supplementary exams, students will have to fill the form, pay the fee and collect the MBOSE supplementary admit card for SSLC and HSSLC.
