At LPU , once you complete your hostel booking and fee payment you will get your hostel and room number details through the ums portal before reporting . the process is simple and well managed , so you can easily know your room and be ready before you arrive on campus.

If in any case you want to change your hostel room , you can make request for that and if there is availability for the same then you allow to change it. Once you are done with the admission procedure or provisional admission, the step is to book the facilities like hostel, laundry, mess and other facilities. You can book the hostel as per your choice like there are standard rooms & apartments are available from 1 seater to 6 seater so you can book accordingly. Once you book the hostel, you will be able to see the details on the portal itself. You can download your Residential slip and show in your hostel while checkin.

When you take admission in LPU first time You booked your hostel on LPU portal after taking provisional admission. You can choose your seater and mess with other facility you need to adopt. Once report the LPU there your documents will verify and you get your hostel and room no. details. Mostly there is one hostel only for freshers, if you need to change hostel team can change it if availability there. There are apartments, regular rooms, and dorms available. You can choose to live alone or with up to three other people in a regular room with a bathroom. They provide beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, hot water systems, fans, and air conditioners in regular rooms. Each person is given a certain amount of free electricity units. There is always electricity available and backup, as well as a water cooler, water purifier, and free internet. There is also an outdoor gym for students to use. Security is important, so there are CCTV cameras and security guards in the hostel and on campus. You can only enter the hostel buildings with an ID card. There is a mess where you can eat different types of food, and the food is healthy

There have been numerous Universities in the country that has beautiful campuses and also offer some of the best hostels in the country. I personally believe, hostels should be secure nowadays and there should have restrictions on students to maintain some kind of discipline. Like day scholars or even outsider should not be allowed in hostels. Keeping in mind all of these points, LPU is one of the nicest campuses in the country, I know as per my experience which offers everything which one needs on the campus. One must look into the below points for consideration if they become a student of the LPU. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : 1) LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. you will get all the information of your Hostel like HOSTEL number, BLOCK NUMBER, ROOM NO and BED NO on the day of induction. One induction sheet will be hand over to you where you can get all this information.

Dear, One of my neighbourer took admission with residential facility in LPU last year were also anxious about the room number and other related details. On inquiring from the officials they came to know that all the related information is given on the day of reporting when student actually reports in the university. The same happened when she joined and she was delighted to see the reporting process of the university carry forward by induction process which she still recalls with a broad smile. Don't worry, you will come to know the details at the time of reporting.

Hi dear, many of my relatives or known have studied in LPU. Generally, they tell you about hostels only at the time of reporting. There is a reporting process to follow properly. If someone ignores those steps to follow, soon realize that they were about to lost in a fate. So its better to follow step by step process. when you will reach to the residential services thay will tell you the hostel details and allocate it as soon as possible. i hope this will be helpful.
