To qualify in the AP RCET entrance exam, you need at least 50% marks if you are in the General category and 45% marks if you belong to SC, ST, or PwD categories in the written exam to be eligible for the next round, which is the oral interview. The exam is generally for 180 marks, so General candidates should aim for at least 90 marks, and reserved category candidates should target at least 81 marks to clear the qualifying cutoff.​
