Tamil Nadu Board Class 10 Grading System is set by the Directorate of Government Examination. The board follows a nine-point grading system which includes “A1” as the highest grade and “E” as the lowest grade. The students scoring marks between 91 to 100 are awarded with “A1” grade. December 22, 2025: Tamil Nadu board released the Tamil Nadu 10th Time Table 2026 online. The exams are to be conducted from March 11 to April 06, 2026. Check the exam dates for all subjects and appear for the exams accordingly.

Tamil Nadu Board Class 10 Grading System 2026: Scheme of Exam

The Tamil Nadu Board Examination 2026 is conducted for 6 subjects, which include 2 language Subjects and 4 Electives. The table given below represents the Subjects and the time allotted to complete the exams.

The 10th matriculation total marks for each subject are 100. Out of these 100, written examinations will be conducted for 70 marks, while the matric 10th total marks for practicals are 30 marks. The medium of the Question Paper will be Tamil and English. Students are also permitted to write the answers in these languages only.

Students will need to score at least 35 marks out of 100 marks in each subject to pass. Only the students with 35 or above marks will be considered passed. Tamil Nadu Board Class 10 Grading System 2026: Result Revaluation

After the announcement of the Tamil Nadu Class 10 result, the students can apply for revaluation if they are not satisfied with their marks. The board will provide the revaluation forms online. The students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for Tamil Nadu Class 10 Revaluation 2026 . They will have to fill out the revaluation form and make a payment of INR 505 per subject. The board charges the revaluation fee for each subject, which has to be paid while submitting the revaluation form. The form should be filled out before the deadline. After a few days, the board will release the revaluation results online. After the revaluation, the marks can be increased or decreased. In both cases, marks will be considered final.
